VoSKILL Academy is a licensed Florida vocational school where students develop practical skills through hands-on training, instructor guidance, and real-world application while earning a 400-clock-hour vocational diploma.
Not everyone learns the same way, and that's okay. Some students enjoy books and traditional classrooms, while others would rather pick up a tool, solve a problem, and see the results of their work at the end of the day.

Train Like You Work
Learning a trade isn't about watching someone else do the work. It's about doing it yourself.
Our training bays are built to resemble what students will encounter in the field. Instead of practicing on a sheet of plywood, they'll train on framed walls with electrical boxes, conduit, panels, and layouts similar to real jobsites.
Just like the military trains for the mission, VoSKILL students train for the work.
Around here, students are expected to show up on time, come prepared, respect others, work safely, ask questions, and take responsibility for their work. Those aren't just school expectations. They're the same habits employers expect on the job.
No one is expected to know everything on day one. Students will make mistakes, figure out what happened, correct them, and try again. That's how skills become confidence, and confidence grows into responsibility.

Every student's path is different, which is why VoSKILL Academy offers vocational diploma programs in three growing areas of the skilled trades. Each combines flexible coursework with hands-on shop training to prepare students for the next step.
Electrical Helper
Build a foundation in residential electrical systems while learning wiring methods, safety, tools, devices, and installation practices.
Electric & Low Voltage Systems Helper
Learn the technologies behind today's connected homes and businesses, including security systems, networking, structured cabling, cameras, access control, and smart building systems.
HVAC Technician
Learn the fundamentals of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration while developing the skills needed to install, maintain, and troubleshoot comfort systems.

At VoSKILL Academy, I work alongside experienced local tradesmen who have spent years doing the work they're teaching. Our job is to challenge students, answer questions, coach them through mistakes, and help them continue improving every week.
The goal isn't simply to finish a program.
It's to help prepare them for the next phase of life.

What Parents Ask Most
How long is the program?
Approximately 14–16 weeks with a combination of flexible coursework and scheduled hands-on shop training.
What credential will my child earn?
A 400-clock-hour vocational diploma from VoSKILL Academy, a licensed Florida vocational school.
What if they've never used tools before?
That's okay. We teach beginners. Students don't need experience—they simply need a willingness to learn.
Can Step Up be used?
Yes. Electrical Helper and Electric & Low Voltage Systems Helper are currently approved for eligible Step Up scholarship funding. We'll explain how it works during your visit.
Can we visit before deciding?
Absolutely. In fact, we encourage it.

I'm a father to two young men, both out on their own now, so I understand how important this season of life is. There isn't one path that's right for every child, and I don't believe everyone should follow the same one.
Before we ever talk about enrollment, I want to get to know you and your child. I want to hear what they're interested in, what they're naturally good at, and what they're hoping to do after high school.
