DAytime Classes

Ages: 7-12. $75.00

  • Same project. Different skill levels.

  • Younger builders get more guidance

  • Older builders take on more tools

  • Build at their own pace

  • Everyone takes home a finished project.

Most builds are completed within the class. Some may finish a few minutes early or run slightly over depending on pace.

  • All necessary tools, safety equipment, and materials.

  • All of our sessions use real tools which requires a respect to what they can do and how to use them. Builders are encouraged to wear β€œshop clothes” (can get dirty). All Builders are required to wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or crocs).

    Builders with long hair must have a way to put it up and jewelry must be removed.

  • Nope, just a desire to learn and build confidence.

  • No worries, we realize schedules change. Please let us know and we’ll get them into the next class.

  • If you are using a Step Up Scholarship please do the following:

    1. Use STEPUP2026 at check out to grab your Passes

    2. Log into EMA Scholarship Portal and click Find Providers and search for VoSKILL, then select the service that matches your block .

Every class begins with our values of Respect First and Safety Always. All students are expected to respect each other and the tools they are using. And required to be use tools in the safe manner we show them.

Where kids build, learn, and leave proud of what they made

Our shop classes are structured by age and experience so every student is working at the right levelβ€”using real tools, building fun projects, and developing genuine confidence.

Families grab a Shop Pass and book into the class times that fit their schedule.

What we teach

  • measuring, drilling, fastening, sanding, project building.

  • screwdrivers, drills, hinges, knobs, fasteners.

  • low-voltage circuits, LEDs, switches, safe wiring boards.

  • gears, pulleys, levers, take-apart and rebuild thinking.

The Shop is where kids build real projects, gain confidence, and learn practical skillsβ€”guided by experienced builder-mentors.

Builders don’t just take home a project β€” they take home confidence, problem-solving skills, and the belief that they can do hard things.
